It WAS sunny and will be again on Friday apparently, sadly until then we will have a week of rain…bummer but at least the bank holiday was nice. What did you all get up to?
I went for a picnic with my friend which was sooo lovely. I actually got sunburnt, I think only the Brits are capable of getting sunburnt in 15 degree heat.
I am a major fan of the pyjama trouser At the moment. They are the most comfy things you will ever wear and are perfect for this sporadic weather we’re having. These ones are by Markus Lupfher for Whistles. I wore them with a simple block colour crop top, as I think you need to go for something simple with a pattern as bright as the hearts on these trousers. I’m always a bit sceptical of crop tops but this one, I’m not ashamed to say, was inspired by a look i saw rihanna wearing. I got it for £2!!! from Primark so thought I’d join in with the cropped thing.

Today I’ve gone for another pyjama style trouser. I really love the slouchy feel and they are the most comfortable trousers you will ever wear. I usually like to wear them with a heel to give it that sports luxe type vibe. Today though, I have gone with my new shoes my friend bought for me from morocco. I posted about them yesterday too. I love them so much and again they are sooo comfy.
I think it must be this muggy weather we’re having but I am really going for the comfort at the moment. So I think these orchid print silk trousers are a perfect mix. I am also surprised to say I am loving the lilac, I think its such a difficult colour to wear, it always reminds me of bad bridesmaids dresses, but this print couldn’t be further from it.
Adding to the whole sports Luxey type thing, I wore my grey sweat top that has really cool quilted shoulders, which I think toughens up the feminine floral print.
I accessorised today with neon pink, diamanté earrings and a chunky silver bangle. I think the pink offsets the trousers nicely and it isn’t too much of a contrast when combined with a muted colour like my grey jumper. I also thought they looked quite cool with my freshly painted nails…still trying to get the hang of the whole nail art/nail pen thing. This is my second attempt, what do you think?

The sun is here! Hopefully it will be here to stay. I have decided to mix a pyjama style trouser with a simple tee today. I am definitely dressing for comfort today, after all that is what Sundays are for.
I love turquoise, blues and greens. In fact, my wardrobe is worryingly merging into one greeny blue rail. So knowing this, I’m sure you’ll understand my big love for these printed trousers I found in the sale at Marks and Spencer’s!? M&S?!
I’m also really loving a good printed T shirt at the moment. I thought this one would be perfect to tone down the brightness of the trouser. It also has a tiny mix of pink in there, which I am surprised to say works quite well with the green. Or does it?
I also have to mention my new shoes my friend recently bought for me from a recent trip to Morocco. Not only do they combine everything I love and want from a summer shoe aka, beading and cross over straps. They came from a really sweet little man that handmade them, apparently he was just like the sweet man Carrie buys her little shoes from in Sex and the City 2 film. Adorable.

Aw so I have just discovered a brand called Olive and Frank….I cannot believe I have never seen their website before! Then, I thought that I may not be the only one… I had to share.
If you who haven’t heard or seen their website yet, you have to stop what you’re doing and check it out.
Think, vintage, embellished Peter Pan collars, cute vintage prints, lace dresses, ribbons, mixed with edgy jewellery and shoes…basically everything you could want from clothing.
I have serious love for this brand right now. 3 guesses where I’ll be heading when we finally hit pay day! These are in my definite list of purchases, which ones are your favourite?

So far, I have yet to get on the bandwagon of the latest nail art craze. I have obviously seen different designs and products in all my usual fashion mags and have been meaning to get involved for a while.
Well I accidentally, broke my spending ban yesterday when I was on my, what has become an almost daily trip to Boots. I was actually searching for one of the new gelly varnishes from BarryM but found they had completely run out. Gutted.
But, all was not lost. I discovered the different colour nail art pens they have to offer. I actually nearly went for a models own one as it was in a cute little box(I know that is completely irrelevant) and it had little instructions on how to use the two applicators, which I quite liked as a new user. They also had loads of really fun, summery pastel colours.
I finally decided to go for the BarryM plain black one in the end as it was £2 cheaper(save the penny’s) and I did think that as a first time experiment that may well turn into a one time thing, it was probably best to go with the cheaper, simpler option.
This is my first time effort, turns out I am possibly the least ambidextrous person ever. I had fun doing it though, I would definitely recommend having a pop.
What do you think? Is it worth me investing in other colours?

Today it is pretty chilly again…I think our great British summer has already been and gone. But, I’m clinging onto the hope it’s not over yet and we can still wear our summery pieces.
I have warmed up my summery midi skirt with a more wintry grey fedora style hat and textured grey tights. I also love the combination of navy and orange together, so have muted down the bright summer orange with a textured, navy leotard type top. (it has velvet bits on it, it’s lush) one of my prouder primark buys!

So this month I’ve been saving money and have really had to watch my spending. I have actually shocked myself and am doing pretty well.
As the saying goes, save the penny’s and the pounds will take care of themselves.
Well that’s all well and good, but it does then mean you have more pounds to spend. So, surely then it’s only right to invest in something. Which is why I’ve decided to invest in this little beauty. I know it’s a bit counter-active but I can’t help it.
I’ve been looking for the perfect leather for ages. This is it. I have been looking at vintage aviator type ones, as I sometimes think that newer leather can look quite stiff, even the more expensive brands. I also decided I didn’t want black, as sometimes they can look quite harsh and a bit too bikery (is that a word?).
This is perfect, it actually reminds me of a Burberry style I saw a while ago, but is obviously less then a quarter of the price. It’s got a beautiful distressed finish and just enough detail to make it classic enough to be the perfect Investment for the future. I absolutely love it. What do you all think?
Shame I’ve got to wait until next month to save enough penny’s.
Its from Whistles and is available now.
I know that the Internet world of fashion is going mad right now with photo’s from the Met Ball…Vogue.com is particularly great, if you somehow missed out on all the action, but I thought I might join in on the festivities too and show you my favourite looks.
Cara Delevigne and Sienna Miller…
I didn’t think I could love these two more, but my love just got bigger. Both in head to toe Burberry, it doesn’t get much better. Apparently, Sienna is tipped to become the new face of Burberry too which is pretty exciting.
On the other hand, I’m sad to say there were quite a few fails…Madonna. I love her, but what was she thinking?! If you haven’t seen already it is definitely worth a look.
For so long I have dreamt of finding the perfect mascara. Anyone that knows me, knows I am a big fan of eye makeup of the mascara variety, so it’s not such a weird dream.
I have tried everything from Dior Show(a lot of people’s favourite) to Collection2000, to the million different types Rimmel comes out with each week, that Boots kindly place on offer. Few have come close. Other then Lancôme. For me it is by far the best.
It adds volume without being clumpy, curls and lengthens and I only ever have to apply once. I didn’t think It could get any better…I was wrong.
Lanvin’s Albar Elbaz has hand illustrated a whole range of Lancôme collectables. Never have I loved makeup packaging more.
This mascara is £23, in Selfridges from June 15th. Limited time only apparently so I may have to fight you for one.
When I think of Chanel no.5 I think of not just the iconic scent but the adverts that go along with it too. Audrey Tautou on a mysterious train ride with a very handsome man following her around, sweeping majestically through the streets of Paris. Or, that very odd advert with Brad Pitt rambling on about something no one will ever be able to figure out.
In fact, the last place I would ever expect to see anything related to possibly the most iconic perfume in the world would be here….on a motorway!
I could hardly contain my excitement when my friend sent me this. I felt it necessary to carry on the legacy of the Chanel no.5 in some way and share with you. Well, that’s how I like to look at it anyway.
